Прибор УПГ-МГ4.01/Н «Грунт» состоит из блока управления с дисплеем, термоконтейнеров (от 1 до 6 шт.), включающих силовую рамку, теплоизолирующий кожух, верхнюю и нижнюю термостатируемые плиты, устройства для автоматического измерения температур, силы и перемещения и терморегулятора для управления морозильной камерой. Прибор снабжен датчиками промораживания грунта и обеспечивает определение момента замерзания грунта на глубине 100 мм от верхней поверхности образца.
Промораживание образцов грунта, помещенных в термоконтейнеры, осуществляется в морозильной камере (приобретается отдельно) при заданных температурах на верхней и нижней термостатируемых плитах (температура на верхней и нижней термоплитах задается пользователем).
В процессе испытаний обеспечивается автоматическое поддержание температуры верхней и нижней термостатируемых плит с погрешностью ± 0,2°С, измерение температуры образца грунта, измерение силы нагружения и вертикальной деформации образца грунта. Поддержание постоянной температуры на верхней термоплите осуществляется с помощью регулятора холодильной камеры (входит в комплектацию прибора), а поддержание постоянной температуры на нижней термоплите с помощью встроенного нагревателя. Прибор имеет режим непрерывной регистрации процесса испытаний всех образцов грунта одновременно, энергонезависимую память и связь с ПК по USB интерфейсу.
