Предназначен для определения истираемости щебня (гравия) по ГОСТ 8269.0 по потере массы пробы после испытания.
Вращающийся барабан имеет люк в обечайке, закрываемый быстросъемной крышкой, на которой закреплена лопасть.
Стойка имеет ролики, позволяющие легко перемещать барабан по ровному полу, и две винтовые опоры для обеспечения устойчивости при работе.
