The 403J-17 is a 1.7-litre, in-line 3-cylinder naturally aspirated diesel engine producing up to 18.9kW at 2,200rpm, with a maximum torque of 97.9Nm. It meets EU Stage V / US EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards without aftertreatment, EGR, or electronic engine management.
The larger 1.7-litre displacement compared to the 403J-11 delivers stronger low-speed torque, making this engine particularly well suited to machines that operate at lower speeds or require confident cold-start performance. The indirect injection mechanical fuel system ensures quiet, reliable operation with 500-hour service intervals.
This engine is suited to compact loaders, small excavators, agricultural equipment, turf machinery, generator sets, and compressor applications.
Supplied as a long motor, includes fuel injection pump and equipment. Does not include flywheel, fan, or electrics. Compatible with 12V and 24V electrical systems.
